The much-awaited compact SUV 2020 Maruti Suzuki has launched its, Vitara Brezza petrol version at ex-showroom prices range from Rs 7.34 lakh to over Rs 11 lakh, according to The Economic Times.

A month after India’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki started exporting S-Presso to global markets, it launched the latest Vitara Brezza, which is expected to perform better compared to its predecessors.

With the new upgrades to the exterior and interiors and a BS6 petrol engine, this latest model will compete with other popular SUVs like Tata Nexon, Ford EcoSport, Mahindra XUV300, and Hyundai Venue.

If you intend to splurge on the 2020 Vitara Brezza, there are aspects you should know about it as per the first drive reviews.

Newly Upgraded Designs

There are new upgrades to Vitara Brezza’s interiors and exteriors. The exterior looks sleeker at the front, and the highlight is visible from the side to the rear end.

The transformation of the chrome-laden grille has a slim profile, with revisions of the headlight inserts. The reworked bumper meets pedestrian safety requirements and houses the LED fog lamps.

On the side, the upgraded 16-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, broad C-pillar, and body colored-door handles are the key highlights. The Brezza signature is stamped on the tailgate and LED lamps at the rear.

New features in the cabin include leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel, 7-inch SmartPlay studio touchscreen infotainment system, auto-dimming rear mirror, automatic AC, and auto-folding outside rearview mirrors.

Instead of an up and down arrow, the gear shift indicator now displays the gear you should shift. Although the upper glove box and wiper control stalk feel a bit fragile, the overall design quality is appealing.

Impressive Overall Car Rating

The 2020 Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is barely a month old, but reviews are already out. So, before investing in any of the variants available, make sure to go through consumer automobile reviews and professional car ratings online.

According to the first drive reviews of 2020 Brezza, ride quality is satisfactory. It ranks as one of the best-handling compact SUVs in the market, given that it is dependable and offers comfortable rides even on bad terrain.

Unlike the outgoing diesel Vitara Brezza variants, steering the petrol version feels lighter, and it is fuel-efficient. Additionally, there are five available variants (LXi, VXi, ZXi, ZXi+, and ZXi+ dual tone), and six monotone color options.

Engine Performance and Mileage

Brezza’s new engine is a hot topic in the market. The BS6-compliant, 1.5liter K-series petrol engine generates 105hp and 138nM torque. Aside from having a 5-speed manual gearbox, this vehicle is an automatic variant with a 4-speed torque convertor.

The new Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza mileage for the petrol manual option delivers a 17.03kmpl overall, while that for an automatic variant delivers an 18.76kmpl.

Vitara Brezza has been a favorite in the SUV segment, with Maruti Suzuki selling five lakhs since it first launched in March 2016. Experts predict that the new 2020 Vitara Brezza will be the best seller owing to its powerful engine, dependability, appealing features, and availability of different variants.
