Coronavirus Update: AWS cancels Mumbai summit

Citing the safety of customers, partners and employees from the recent novel Coronavirus outbreak, the U.S. leading IT company, Amazon Web Services on Thursday announced to cancel its two-day Mumbai summit.

AWS in its released statement said, “The summit, which was scheduled to take place from 8 April to 9 April 2020, at Mumbai’s Bombay Exhibition Center will not go ahead as planned.”

“Our top priority is the wellbeing of our customers, partners, and employees. After a careful review of the current situation with COVID-19 and listening to the guidance provided by the local authorities,” it added.

Adding to the statement, AWS said, “We are currently looking at all the options for a follow-up event and will communicate those details soon.”
