Chinese President Xi Jinping said, “China will increase its installed capacity of solar and wind power to 1,200 Gigawatts by 2030.
President Jinping made the announcement, during the one-day virtual U.N. climate change summit via video on Saturday.
“The installed capacity of wind and solar energy to more than 1,200 Gigawatts by 2030. Will increase its share of non-fossil fuels in primary energy consumption to around 25% during the same period,” Jinping added.
