Pakistan quarantines 20,000 worshippers who attended Tablighi Jamaat event in Lahore

The Government of Pakistan has quarantined 20,000 worshippers who attended a religious event in Lahore last month.

According to the AFP reports, “The Health authorities have quarantined 20,000 worshipers and is looking for ten of thousands of others who attended the event help by the Tablighi Jamaat – an Islamic missionary movement between 10th March to 12 March 2020.”

The report said, “Despite the government requests to cancel the event, over 100,000 people attended the meeting.”
