InspeCity Space Laboratories Appoints Rajeev Gambhir as Executive Vice President

Thane-based space technology company InspeCity Space Laboratories has announced the appointment of Rajeev Gambhir as Executive Vice President.

In his new role, Gambhir will lead the company’s institutional engagement, strategic partnership development, corporate positioning, strategic opportunity development, and international partnerships to support its long-term business objectives.

He will also work closely with the executive leadership team to strengthen relationships across government, industry, research institutions, and the broader global space ecosystem.

InspeCity is building a vertically integrated technology stack spanning Rendezvous and Proximity Operations (RPO), green satellite propulsion, and robotic systems designed to extend satellite lifespans, reduce replacement costs, and help address orbital debris.

The company also plans to expand its multidisciplinary engineering and scientific workforce from around 70 employees to approximately 150 by the end of the current financial year as it prepares for its next phase of growth.

Gambhir joins InspeCity with more than four decades of experience in strategic partnerships, policy, standards, and ecosystem development across the space, satellite, telecommunications, and media sectors. Throughout his career, he has worked extensively with government agencies, industry bodies, academic institutions, and international organisations.
