In a final bid to win over Arab American voters in the closing stages of the presidential race, Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, during a rally in the swing state of Michigan, said that she would end the war in Gaza and further promised to prioritize peace and diplomacy to resolve the ongoing crisis in the Middle East and Israel.
“This year has been incredibly painful, marked by widespread loss in Gaza and significant civilian displacement in Lebanon,” Harris stated. “As president, I will do everything in my power to bring this war to an end, bring hostages home, alleviate the suffering in Gaza, secure Israel, and support the Palestinian people’s rights to dignity, freedom, and self-determination.”
Further adding to this, Harris said, ‘We are committed to finding diplomatic solutions, particularly along the Israel-Lebanon border, to safeguard civilians and achieve lasting peace.
