With the economic boom in the recent years, the job market has opened up for everyone. Currently, it is not the playfield of ultra-educated, instead, now the market has opened up for those who don’t have college degrees.
A couple of months ago Glassdoor had listed 15 companies that have eliminated the requirement of a college degree from their job openings. This list includes big names such as Google, Apple, IBM, and EY, among others.
In an interview with CNBC, Joanna Daley, VP of talent at IBM had said that about 15 percent of their US workforce do not have a traditional four-year college degree. She further added that instead of hiring college grads, IBM is looking to incorporate those who have hands-on experience and necessary skillset.
