Australian Regulator sues Facebook for commercial use of users data

An Australian regulator has sued Facebook for using users’ data through its virtual private network for commercial purposes.

“Facebook was promoting its Virtual private network (VPN) as a way to protect users’ data, but in reality, Facebook was using data to monitor people, internet, and app activity to use the data to use it commercially,” the regulator said.
