Lava launches “LAVA Pay”, an offline-based digital payment app

India-based multi-national handset maker Lava International has launched its offline-based digital payment solution “LAVA Pay” for its feature phone users.

In a statement issued, the company said, “LAVA Pay app comes with the highest security standards, and enables feature phone users to conduct digital transactions in a simplified manner.”

“The app will come pre-installed in the company’s upcoming feature phones, and will allow the user to pay and receive users through the app by entering the phone number of the receiver, payment amount and the transaction PassCode, once the transaction is complete both the sender and receiver will get a notification of the transaction,” it added.

Adding to the statement, the company said: “The user can visit the bank to configure the app to start the transaction.”
