Paytm Payments Bank books over 900mn digital transactions in March

Paytm Payment Bank Limited (PPBL) on Tuesday said, “It has registered over 900 million digital transactions in March 2021.”

“The growth in digital transactions was due to an increase in the use of Paytm wallet, Paytm FASTag, Paytm UP and internet banking over the last several quarters,” PPBL said.

“With over 64 million accounts, PPBL on average is opening over 1 million savings and current accounts a month, and has deposited over ₹3,200 crores,” PPBL added.

Speaking on the development, Satish Kumar Gupta, CEO & Managing Director, Paytm Payments Bank Ltd, said in a statement: “Our leadership in digital banking and payments is a testimony to the trust that the whole country has shown in our services.
