GPS Renewables, an India based biogas engineering company, has appointed Ravikumar SV as CEO of the newly incorporated Bharat GPS Bioenergy Private Limited(BGBPL), a joint venture between GPS Renewables and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), aimed at fast-tracking India’s bioenergy transition.
With over 29 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry, Ravikumar has deep expertise in project planning and execution. Prior to this appointment, he served as Senior Vice President heading Project Planning, Cost control & Billing, and Project Execution. In his new role, he will lead BGBPL’s mission to scale up biogas production and contribute towards India’s clean energy goals.
As part of the joint venture structure, GPS Renewables nominated Ravikumar SV as CEO of Bharat GPS Bioenergy Pvt Ltd, and his appointment was approved at the company’s first Board meeting on 2nd July.
Ravi holds a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from College of Engineering Guindy, Anna University. He is known for his expertise in Program/ Project Management, Maintenance Management and Engineering Management, and has a proven track record of managing complex projects and maintenance programs.
