Coronavirus report: China allocates $15 billion in virus-related funding

The Government of China has allocated $15.93 billion in coronavirus related funding for the smooth functioning of local governments.

Addressing the press on Thursday, Vice Finance Minister Xu Hongcai said, “To ensure the smooth operation of local governments amind at the coronavirus outbreak. The Chinese government has allocated 110.48 billion yuan ($15.93 billion) in coronavirus related funding.”

“The Finance Ministry will also ensure that the funding needs of Hubei province – the epicenter of the COVD-19 outbreak,” Xu said.
