Coronavirus: Delhi to get plasma bank for COVID-19 treatment

Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal on Monday said, “The government is planning to set up a plasma bank to treat COVID-19 patients.”

Addressing the press on the coronavirus development, Arvind Kejriwal said, “The ‘Plasma Bank’ will be set-up at the Institute of Liver and Biliary Science in Delhi. The ‘Plasma Bank’ will be made operational in the next two days.”

“Helpline number will be set up by the government for queries related to the donation of plasma, and anyone who needs plasma will need a recommendation from a doctor,” Kejriwal said.

Adding to the statement, Kejriwal said, “The government has conducted a clinical trial of plasma therapy on 29 COVID-19 patients and the results are encouraging.”
