Four people on Monday were sentenced to death by a court in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, for posting blasphemous materials on the social media platform Facebook.

According to reports, Additional District Sessions Judge Ahsan Mahmood Malik sentenced Muhammad Amin, Wazir Gul, Faizan Razaak, and Muhammad Rizwan to death for posting blasphemous material against the Prophet on Facebook, along with a 28-year sentence for blasphemy against the Quran.

A fifth suspect, Usman Liaqat, was sentenced to seven years in prison.
