Shriram Transport Finance plans to raise funds through debt securities

India based transport finance company, Shriram Transport Finance has announced its plan to raise funding through the issuance of debt securities.

In a filing with the exchange, Shriram Transport Finance said, “The company is considering raising funds through various options of borrowings including by the way of issue of debentures securities in onshore/offshore market by public issue and or by private placement basis and commercial papers.”

“Based on the market conditions the meeting(s) of banking and finance committee/debt issuance committee – Public NCDs/Bond Issuance Committee will be held during the month ending March 31, 2020, to consider and approve the terms and conditions including the issue of debt securities,” the filing added.

However, the company did not mention in its filing the amount it is planning to raise through the issuance.
