Larsen & Toubro bags Rs 2,048 crore contracts for power and distribution business

During the filing in BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange) on Tuesday, Larsen and Toubro (L&T) announced that “its construction business has received the contract worth Rs 2,048 crore for two business segments,” which includes the contract order of Rs 1,63 crores for The power transmission and distribution business in the domestic market, where the company will build a 400/220kV Gas Insulated substation in Andra Pradesh and 230kV Gas Insulated in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and the company has also secured the contract worth of Rs 415 crore for water and effluent treatment business.

Adding to this the company in its filing has stated that “The business has able to get the biggest order for a Main Plant Electrical Package for the units 3 & 4 of Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project.”
