Coronavirus: Prime Minister Narendra Modi says, “Lockdown 4.0 will be based on suggestions of states”

Addressing the nation for the fifth time during the coronavirus lockdown, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that, “Lockdown 4.0 will be based on the suggestions of states with new rules.”

“The information on lockdown 4.0 will be provided before 18th May 2020, and will be based on suggestions provided by states,” Modi added.

The announcement on the lockdown 4.0 has come a day after the PM chaired a marathon six-hour-long meeting with Chief Ministers, in which Chief Ministers of different states such as “Maharashtra, Delhi, Bihar, Gujarat, and Punjab, urged the PM Modi to extend the lockdown for more days.”
