Speaking with Reliance Industries (RIL) Chairman and MD, Mukesh Ambani at Partnering for Digital India, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said, “UPI system and 140 banks facilitated the launch of WhatsApp pay.”

“We launched WhatsApp Pay in India last month. This was possible because of the UPI system and 140 banks which made it easy. India is the first country to do anything like this,” Zuckerberg said
