Govt to investigate e-commerce firms after a complaint from small retailers

Union Minister for Commerce & Industry, Piyush Goyal on Tuesday said, “The trade ministry was investigating some e-commerce companies after receiving complaints from Small retailers.”

Speaking at the press conference, Piyush Goyal said, “There are certain complaints from consumers and small retailers about the certain practices of the e-commerce companies which are under investigation.”

“We are also considering certain clarification to ensure that the e-commerce sector works in the true spirit of the law,” Goyal said.
