India-based leading working capital platform, CredAble has announced the appointment of Mr. Ranjit Singh as EVP and Head of Credit.

At CredAble, Ranjit will be at the helm of the Credit and Risk Management function. He looks forward to the opportunity to leverage technology and data to develop a credit risk management framework that is both robust and agile.

Elated on designating Mr. Ranjit for the role, Mr. Ram Kewalramani, Co-Founder and Managing Director, CredAble said, “Given the ever-evolving MSME requirements, Ranjit’s role is to ensure that the credit and risk framework will enable CredAble to create real-time financial inclusion. He will be leading this initiative by designing innovative and flexible credit models that are transactional as opposed to the traditional balance sheet approach, thereby, creating true impact for the underserved MSME sector.”

Mr. Ranjit is passionate about credit risk management and financial structuring. He has been a Corporate Banker for 13 years with Rabobank and Standard Chartered Bank.

Ecstatic to begin his new stint, Mr. Ranjit Singh, EVP and Head of Credit, CredAble stated, “During the pandemic, I have seen a sharp escalation in the financing needs for both big and small enterprises to survive. And, businesses grow by leveraging current assets to raise working capital debt, but this oxygen is denied to SMEs, as traditional financing prefers the comfort zone of large balance sheets or fixed asset covers.

A credit paradigm that breaks this template by tracking cash flows has long been talked about but is taking shape only now. Today, the imaginative use of technology and data can realize this promise by delivering credit to SMEs. With its innovative solutions, CredAble is ensuring liquidity in the supply chain ecosystem across industries and I will be glad to leverage my experience to enhance the reach further.”

As a banker, Mr. Ranjit has handled senior roles in Coverage Banking and Credit Analysis. He has worked with clients from diverse industries and scales including promoter-led mid-market businesses, diversified conglomerates, and as well as multinationals.

He has led cross-functional teams to design and execute financial solutions encompassing lending, trade, commodity, and forex markets. Before banking, he has worked with Crisil, ICICI Lombard, QAI India, and TCS.
