As the new strains of coronavirus are spreading more rapidly. UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson on Saturday announced the ‘Tier 4’ restrictions in London, Southern and Eastern England.
The other areas put under ‘Tier 4’ restrictions are — Kent, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Surrey (excluding Waverley), Gosport, Havant, Portsmouth, Rother and Hastings, London, and some counties in the East of England.
As a result, All non-essential services, including gyms, swimming pools, cinemas, hairdresser shops, and other retail outlets will remain closed, and not more than two people will be allowed to gather in public space in these areas.
Christmas bubble policy will no longer apply in ‘Tier 4’ areas.
