Twitter rival Koo announces free verification badges for notable personalities

Koo, an India-based microblogging platform and one of Twitter Inc’s rivals has today announced, to provide free lifetime verified badges to all notable personalities that meet their criteria.

The company, which has more than 50 million users in India, Brazil, and Africa, said in its released statement, “Koo is committed to building a safe and inclusive platform that gives users the equal opportunity to express themselves and be heard. All prominent personalities and creators across the globe will be eligible for free lifetime verification to build trust with their followers, protect their reputation and avoid impersonation.”

In addition, Koo enables users to seamlessly migrate their Tweets and find their Twitter following on the platform; thereby eliminating the need to start from ground zero.
