On Saturday Afternoon, Mahbod Moghadam, Co-founder of HellaDoge sat down with the TechGraph editorial team for a wide-ranging interview. We discussed HellaDoge’s journey, the impact of web 3 & Metaverse on Social, and why he wants Mark Zuckerberg to apologize.

Read the complete interview:

TechGraph: Could you help us give a sense of how far HellaDoge has come since its existence?

Mahbod Moghadam: WE BLOWIN UP MAYNE! Zeeshan is running the show and we have a long-term sponsor, so everyone on HellaDoge gets dogecoin for looking at memes and drinking wine. Our community is very Dionysian.

We are working on paying out users and hopefully publicly launch our crowdfunding campaign soon, although it’s already open privately the site has a lot of VERY talented meme lords – overall better than Instagram for sure! and Reddit.

TechGraph: HellaDoge talks about a Communistagram. What does this concept have for the users?

Mahbod Moghadam: Users get 80% of the revenue. Underground Cellar pays $69 a month, and we get around $100 a month from Google ads, and 80% of that goes to the users every month. 2/3 to creators, 1/3 to readers (“data dividend”). If every app did this, passive users could make $1K a month we can end poverty.

TechGraph: How is HellaDoge transforming the social media space?

Mahbod Moghadam: Right now we are an elite meme community, but like I’m saying, we just want everyone else to copy The HellaDoge Model. It’s def scalable, anyone can give away 80% of their revenue. They just have to fire most of their full-time workers, hire remote workers, get rid of all offices, and stop hoarding their users’ worth.

TechGraph: What are your plans around HellaDoge, and new features offerings?

Mahbod Moghadam: I’m down for anything really, ask Zeeshan. He’s the coder lol I’m just obtaining much Dogecoin on here. I wouldn’t mind selling it to Elon Musk for $69 million, or really anything. I’ll sell it to Zuck if he wants. I want the Internet to be used to end poverty.

TechGraph: How are Web 3.0 & Metaverse transforming the social media ecosystem?

Mahbod Moghadam: Right now, all the Web 3, I see other than HellaDoge is complete BS. Steemit was the only one that was even close, but they created Steem coin, which was just like Everipedia.

Why dogecoin?

BitClout/DeSo is what inspired me to build HellaDoge, they also have their token the only semi-legit web 3 is brave, but once again they have their crypto token.

Why not bitcoin?

Earn.com was originally giving bitcoin back in 2013! I remember I got like half a bitcoin from earning back in the day. Earn.com was the reason I invested! I thought “this is going to be the future”.

But everyone got greedy, they started making their coin instead of giving users bitcoin. Also, nobody had a “cool” community – like Steemit had traction but it lacked, no one ever said anything funny or cool or interesting, it was mostly bots. HellaDoge is cool.

What’s about NFT?

I think all of the NFT stuff is complete 100% BS. If web 3 is rewarding CREATORS it’s not enough. The important part is the “data dividend” to people who can’t create. That’s how we can end poverty.

Not with NFTs, Silicon Valley is pumping NFTs because they want to mislead the public about the purpose of web 3. They are GREEDY! They don’t want to give away 80% But HellaDoge will force them to give it away.

TechGraph: Do you think the trend had taken hold even before the crypto-induced disruptions?

Mahbod Moghadam: YES! There were a lot of “pre-crypto” things about the internet. Uber and delivery apps started the non-fulltime gig economy model which is sort of like data dividend and the HellaDoge Model.

We should not forget YOUTUBE! That’s the original Web 3. Google always wanted to pay users, I monetized my blog and made like $50 when I was in law school.

Mark Zuckerberg was the greedy guy who decided he doesn’t want to pay users. BAD!!! He’s a bad guy. I’ll only sell him HellaDoge if he apologizes and pinky swears me, he wants to end poverty and promises to name his next child Mahbod.

TechGraph: Going forward, what is the roadmap for HellaDoge?

Mahbod Moghadam: I don’t know lol. I’ll probably doge some funny memes today. We need you guys to give us more tech updates bruh! We don’t have any bots yet but lowkey we need some bots that just doge out trending news etc – our community is too teenager, maybe we need to be more mature.
