United States grants 45 days extension to Huwaei to continue business with US suppliers

A year after restricting the Chinese technology giant Huawei Technologies from doing business in the country, the United States on Thursday said, “It has issued a 45-day extension to U.S. companies to continue the business with Huawei Technologies.”

Citing the U.S. commerce department, the Reuters in its report on Thursday said, “The department has allowed the company to purchase US-made goods in a series of extensions. Which aimed at minimizing the disruptions of customers, many of them operate networks in rural America.”

In January last year, the Canadian government arrested Meng Wanzhou, CFO of Huawei Technologies on the request of the United States.
