In an effort to control the further spread of coronavirus in the country, Germany is reportedly planning to close most of the shops from 16 December 2020 to 10 January 2021.
According to the Reuters report, “The draft proposal to close most of the shops was prepared a day later meeting between German Chancellor Angela Merkel and State leaders.”
As a part of a draft proposal, only essential shops like Supermarkets, Pharmacies, and the bank will remain open.
“School will remain closed and employers will be asked to close their operations or have to ask employees to work from home during the period,” The draft accessed by Reuters said.
