HPCL-Mittal Energy Ltd (HMEL) has announced to shut its 226,000 barrels per day (BPD) Bathinda refinery in the northern part of Punjab state for 40 days.
According to media reports, “The Bathinda refinery will be shut down for about 40 days starting from 25- 26 January for maintenance.”
“During the shutdown, HMEL will also carry out a work to be able to hook petrochemical units including 1.2mn tonnes a year ethylene cracker,” the report said.
