Speaking to TechGraph, Ravi Saxena, Managing Director and Co-founder of WonderChef said, “Diwali is indeed going to be cheerful this year for the kitchen appliances industry. Lockdowns triggered by the pandemic made a lot of people discover their kitchens for the first time. This has provided tailwinds to the industry and led to its premiumization, directly benefiting aspirational brands like Wonderchef.”
“Growing number of fully vaccinated people is bringing increasing crowds to the malls and markets. One can experience pre-Covid sales levels in shops and the excitement of shopping after a long hiatus in the customers,” Saxena said.
Further speaking on the sales, Ravi Saxena said, “Wonderchef, being an omnichannel player, has been able to leverage this sentiment in offline retail but has experienced even greater growth in online formats. Put together, it has propelled the company to a growth of over 50% over last year. We are looking forward to closing FY22 on a high propelled by the upbeat festive season during which we expect sales of Rs 150 crore.”
