US Government Seeks to Remove Roadblocks in 5G Deployment

Trump administration, in an official statement, promulgated that it is seeking to remove all the roadblocks associated with the deployment of 5G technology. With the constant thrust towards digitization, 5G is claimed to be an immense enhancer that can revolutionize a plethora of industries.

In an interview with CNBC, Ajit Pai, Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission commented “We want to lead the world in 5G just as we lead the world in 4G. It, of course, takes private sector initiative but also requires the government to prepare the stage in terms of getting the tools for the industry to use out in the marketplace”

Pai further added that 5G network can effectively mitigate the speed and capacity concerns encircling the wireless space and can be a hundred times faster than the current networks. Asides, with the deployment of 5G, 3 million jobs will be created that certainly will act as a catalyst for economic growth.
