Indian Government has invited bids to build chatbots or voice assistant to deliver e-governance services for the public.
The bid was invited by the National E-Governance Division of Ministry of Electronics and IT to build the conversational platform that can be developed on a UMAN platform.
“The platform should be able to assist with general tasks including but not limited to availing services of government and available on the UMANG platform such as registration, login, reset the password, department service relation information, event and new launch of service,” the proposal document said.
“The platform should also have other deep learning capabilities, which can be used by the platform for discovery and recommendations of eligible schemes and services to the users of bots & application. Users should be recommended best-fit schemes and services available in the government domain based on his/her profile,” the document added.
The chatbot should be able to turn speech into textual input and turn text into speech.
“NeGD has fixed January 12 for the pre-bid conference, and January 25 for the last date of submission. The bid will be open on 27 January and evaluation will be done by February 05, the work order is scheduled for the second week of February,” the document added.
The contract will be of four years from the date of launch.
