IKEA closes all its stores after coronavirus outbreak in china

Swedish largest furniture retailer, IKEA has announced to temporarily close all its stores in China.

In a statement issued, the company, said, “We are working with the authorities in the cities and regions where we operate and we are monitoring the situation closely and would act as per their recommendations as this situation is evolving.”

The decision to close the stores has come after the latest outbreak of the deadly coronavirus in the country that killed over 147 peoples and more than 7,000 peoples caught with the infected virus.

Further adding to the statement, IKEA said, “We have asked our employees at the affected stores to stay at home until further notice with paid leave.”
