The Vanguard Group reported owning 1.42 billion shares, or 9.47 percent, of Apple Inc.’s outstanding common stock.
According to a Schedule 13G/A filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Vanguard disclosed beneficial ownership of 1,415,826,462 Apple shares as of June 30, 2025. The filing shows the firm holds shared voting power over 19.8 million shares and sole dispositive power over 1.34 billion shares.
Vanguard said the securities are held in the ordinary course of business and were not acquired with the purpose of influencing control of the company. The group’s clients, including registered investment companies and managed accounts, have the right to receive dividends and proceeds from the sale of the securities.
