IDBI Bank Ltd. (“NSE:IDBI” “BSE:500116” )said it sold 22.22 crore shares of National Securities Depository Ltd. (NSDL), representing an 11.11% stake, through an Offer for Sale in NSDL’s initial public offering at ₹799.87 per share.
According to the filing with the stock exchanges, the gross consideration for the sale amounted to ₹1,777.31 crore. After deducting estimated offer expenses, net proceeds stood at ₹1,703.14 crore, of which ₹1,621.32 crore was received on August 7.
Following the sale, NSDL has ceased to be an associate company of IDBI Bank. The lender’s shareholding now stands at 2.998 crore shares, or 14.99%.
The Offer for Sale closed on August 1, and NSDL was listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange on August 6. NSDL reported revenue of ₹731.41 crore and net worth of ₹1,808.48 crore in FY 2024–25.
