India has extended the deadline for submission of fresh applications under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for Textiles until March 31 this year.
The Ministry of Textiles said the extension comes in response to strong interest from textile companies after the application portal was reopened in August last year, during which multiple proposals were submitted.
The ministry said the decision reflects growing investor confidence in India’s textile sector and is aimed at enabling broader participation by providing additional time to eligible applicants under the scheme.
