Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom on Friday said that “Europe has now become the ‘epicenter’ of coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19).”
During the news conference at the WHO headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, Adhanom said, “With more than 132,000 cases of COVID-19 have now been reported to WHO from 123 countries and territories. Europe has now become the epicenter of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
“More cases and deaths are reported in Europe than the rest of the countries combined, apart from China,” he said.
