Thackeray Govt allots Rs 2,211 crore for farmers relief

The Uddhav Thackeray led Maharashtra Government during the one day of two days winter session in Mumbai said, “The Government has allotted Rs 2,211 crore to provide relief to farmers hit by the natural calamities.”

Government on Monday, tabled Rs 21,992.50 crore supplementary demand in the assembly, in that it said, “It has allocated Rs 22 crore for COVID-19 vaccine air conditioning facilities. Rs 2,850 crore as bonus to paddy farmers, and Rs 3 crore towards the payment of fees of the legal team representing the state in the Supreme Court.”

“Rs 100 crore has been set aside for the Ambedkar Memorial at Indu Mill premises in Mumbai, Rs 475 crore for MLA fund, and Rs 8 crore for new MLA Hostel under construction in the metropolis,” the government added.

Supplementary demands are additional grants required to meet the expenditure of the government.
