NMIMS Hyderabad signs Letter of Intent with FICCI Telangana and AP state council

In a bid to strengthen the research infrastructure for the development of Industry and academia in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. SVKM’s NMIMS Hyderabad campus has signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with FICCI Telangana & AP State Council (FICCI-TAP). 

“The two organizations will work closely to bring more practice-oriented research through case writing and policy initiatives in core areas of growth, skill development, innovation, and sustainability,” the statement said.

“The letter also proposes setting up of FICCI-NMIMS Hyderabad Center for Indian Business as a joint initiative to work together,” it added.

Speaking on the alliance with FICCI, Dr. Tapan Kumar Panda, Director of NMIMS Hyderabad said, “As an academic institution with a strong research-based ethos, we are proud of this partnership with FICCI Telangana & AP State Council. It will help us to further strengthen our relationship with the industry.” 

“Our faculty and students will be working actively to facilitate research work for the development of the industrial sector in the region. We aim to facilitate growth, bring innovation, and ensure sustainability. One of the core objectives of the FICCI-NMIMS Hyderabad Center for Indian Business is to work with MSMEs as core drivers of economic growth and innovation,” He added.

Commenting on the collaboration, Mr. Akhilesh Mahurkar, Director of FICCI Telangana & AP State Council, said, “In a highly competitive and rapidly evolving economy, research can help usher in product innovation, predict disruptive trends,  and identify new avenues of growth. As a leading academic institution with a stellar reputation, NMIMS Hyderabad is at the forefront of research in the field, working closely with businesses to improve processes. This collaboration will help cement this critical relationship between industry and academia.”
