The Government of Uttar Pradesh has declared the novel Coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) a state disaster.

Briefing the press on COVID-19, the official on Tuesday said, “The state government has declared the coronavirus situation as a state disaster relaxing procurement procedures for emergency medical equipment and corona-related medical consumables.”

“This relaxation is for a month… and a Government Order (GO) has been issued on this,” the official added.
