The Sechenov University of Russia has successfully completed the human trail of the coronavirus vaccine.
In an interview with Sputnik news, Vadim Tarasov, Director of the Institute for Translational Medicine and Biotechnology, said, “The University has competed for the human trial of the vaccine developed by the Gamaleya Institute, an epidemiology research center in Moscow.”
Earlier this month, the Sechenov University said, “On June 16, 2020, the Russian Ministry of Health has granted the human trial of COVID-19 vaccine.”
“The first batch of 18 volunteers received the vaccine on June 18 while the second batch of 20 volunteers received the vaccine on June 23 at the Practical Research Centre for Interventional Cardiovasology,” it said.
“The first batch of volunteers would be discharged on 15 July 2020 and the second group on 20 July 2020,” he said.
