The Indian Embassy in Beijing on Tuesday said that “The government of India has canceled all the visas issued after January 15 to the travelers coming from China.”
In a series of tweets, the embassy tweeted, “The visitors from China would have to apply again for Indian visas as the previous ones have been canceled.”
“And for the last-minute confusion, The embassy would also suggest Chinese nationals who are planning to visit India to contact respective visa application centers to ascertain if their visas are still valid,” the tweet added.
The Burea of Immigration at the Ministry of Home Affairs has also stated that “All the airlines have been directed to deny boarding of any passengers from China, even if he holds a valid e-visa to fly to India, until further notice from the bureau.”
