The Apollo Hospitals Simulation Centre, Vanagaram (ASC) has announced that, “It has partnered with Healthium Medtech, a global MedTech company to offer Advanced Training in Laparoscopic surgeries to young aspiring medical professionals.”

The program will be launched with the Laparoscopic Hernia Masterclass at the already available state-of-art simulation center at Apollo Speciality Hospitals, Vanagaram.

Laparoscopic surgery is one of the significant media advancements that has enabled day surgeries for quick recovery. This has evolved laparoscopic as a solution for a wide range of conditions that require surgeries in the abdominal cavity including cholecystectomy (removal of gall bladder), appendectomy (removal of the appendix), advanced procedures for hernia repair, and also gynecological procedures.

Laparoscopic procedures are mostly preferred by the patients and the doctors as they help in keeping the blood loss minimal, less scarring, speedy recovery, and shorter hospital stay.

Since most of the procedures are complex, simulation offers a way to master new skill sets, by training in the simulation centers. A Laparoscopic Simulator is a minimally-invasive surgical simulation training tool intended for learners and medical professionals alike.
