LISSUN, one of India’s leading mental health platforms, has launched its first offline center, Sunshine by LISSUN, dedicated to helping children overcome a range of psychological challenges.
The initiative aims to address the pressing need for quality care for issues such as autism, ADHD, and cerebral palsy, among others. Located in East Patel Nagar, New Delhi, the center features state-of-the-art facilities and a team of multidisciplinary experts.
With an estimated 50 million children in India facing mental health and developmental issues, LISSUN’s Sunshine Centre aims to bridge the gap between available resources and the growing demand for support. By providing a safe and nurturing environment, the center aims to assist children in exploring their emotions, developing resilience, and receiving expert guidance tailored to their unique needs.
The decision to establish a physical center stems from the recognition that a purely digital approach is limited to accurately assessing a child’s behavior. LISSUN embraces a “phygital” approach, combining physical infrastructure with technological advancements to ensure accurate findings. Driven by this philosophy, the launch of the Sunshine Centre marks a significant milestone in LISSUN’s mission to foster the well-being of the next generation.
Inaugurated in East Patel Nagar, the center offers various facilities, including counseling rooms, occupational therapy areas, and assessment zones. Each Sunshine Centre will have a team of developmental pediatricians, clinical psychologists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, special educators, and ABA therapists. This team will provide comprehensive support for parents and children.
Speaking at the launch, Tarun Gupta, Co-founder & Director, LISSUN said, “We believe that every child deserves comprehensive support. It is our mission to bridge the gap between need and available resources. Through Sunshine, we aim to create a safe and nurturing environment where children can explore their emotions, develop resilience, and receive expert guidance tailored to their unique needs.”
Further adding to the statement, Dr. Krishna Veer Singh, Co-founder & Director, LISSUN stated, “In recognizing the limitations of relying solely on a 100 percent digital model for assessing a child’s behavior, it becomes evident that ensuring accurate findings requires human presence. LISSUN has long embraced a phygital approach, understanding the indispensable role of a physical structure in this field backed by a strong tech backbone. Hence, launching the inaugural physical center for Sunshine by LISSUN signifies yet another step towards our mission.”
Looking ahead, LISSUN has ambitious plans to expand its Sunshine centers nationwide. Pune, Lucknow, Jaipur, and the Delhi NCR region are among the initial locations where multiple centers will be launched. By extending the reach of this pioneering initiative, LISSUN aims to provide comprehensive mental health support to children across different regions, revolutionizing the landscape of child mental health care in India.
