Coronavirus Update: Delhi Police files FIR against 66,000 people for lockdown violation

Delhi Police has registered the First Information Report (FIR) against 66,000 people under the Delhi Police Act for violating 21-day lockdown conditions imposed by the government.”

Briefing the press on Saturday, Delhi Police Public Relations Officer, MS Randhawa said, “Under section 188 of IPC the Delhi Police has logged 3350 FIRs and 10,000 vehicles impounded. It has also logged 40 FIRs against the violators of home quarantine.”

Further adding the statement, MS Randhawa said, “With the help of NGOs, Delhi Police is also providing cooked food to around 2 lakh people & rations to 6,000 families for 10 days.”

“We are also ensuring an adequate supply of essential supplies in the state,” he added.
