Speaking at the Public Service Day organized by IIT Delhi Alumni Association, Union Minister for roads transport and highways, Nitin Gadkari on Monday said, “We are importing fuel of Rs 8 lakh crores, and now our IIT graduates, engineers, and research scholars are doing excellent jobs in research. Our idea is to make green hydrogen from wastewater, biomass and for that purpose, we can use solar energy as a power.”
“In making a green hydrogen 70% is of power. Even in Chennai IIT has successfully implemented one experiment by which they used solar floating panels by which they’re getting energy at low cost and using seawater to generate green hydrogen from water,” He further added.
