London based consumer technology startup, Nothing has raised $15 million in series A round funding led by GV (previously known as Google Ventures).
“The startup plans to use the funding for hiring and operations,” the statement said.
Speaking on the funding, Carl Pie, Co-founder of Nothing said, “We are grateful to have a venture capital firm of this caliber to help in building, Nothing together with us.”
“We plan to aggressively grow the company in particular, our R&D and design capabilities to realize our mission of removing barriers between people and technology,” he added.
Commenting on the investment in Carl Pie’s Nothing, Tom Hulme, General Partner at GV, said, “Carl Pei is a seasoned entrepreneur with marketing, hardware, and distribution experience that is key to bringing new devices to market.”
“His vision for smart devices is compelling, and we have high confidence, that with Carl’s global mindset, the Nothing team will have a meaningful impact on the market for consumer technology,” he said.
With the fresh funding, Nothing has raised over $22 million from investors as Kevin Lin, Steve Huffman, Kunal Shah, and few others.
