Nektar.ai has raised $2.15 million in series seed round funding from Nexus Venture Partners.
Led by Nexus Venture Partners, the new round funding also saw the participation from Insignia Venture Partners, Arka Venture Labs, Better Capital, Vietnam Investments Group, Anand Chandrasekaran (Five9 EVP), Ganesh Lakshmi Narayanan (CEO of Airtel’s Enterprises Business), Vinod Muthukrishnan (Chief Growth Office, CCBU at Cisco), Venkat Tadauki (Ex-founder / Board Member at IBM Daksh), and Aneesh Reddy (CEO & Co-founder of Capillary Technologies).
Founded by Abhijeet Vijayvergiya and Aravind Ravi Sulekha, Nektar.ai has over 40,000 business-to-business (B2B) sales teams globally and over 15 million sales professionals.
In a statement issued, Nektar.ai said, “The company will use the funding to built out its platform and for the hiring of product and engineering teams.”
Speaking on the funding, Vijayvergiya Co-Founder & CEO said, “In the last decade the investment in sales tools globally has grown by five times, but the average sales quota attainment has fallen to 40 percent.”
“Nektar.ai is building an artificial intelligence-driven sales productivity solutions that will help the go-to-market revenue teams to seamlessly collaborate and make more sales representative successful in meeting their quota,” he said.
