India’s prominent IT service giant Infosys on Friday announced: “the construction of its US education center in Indianapolis, entailing an initial investment of USD 35 million.”
In a statement issued by Infosys, the company said, “It will be the training campus and residential center for its staff as well as employees of select clients aim to prepare the American workforce for the technology jobs for future.”

Infosys said, “The company is providing an initial investment of $35 million to create the first 12,5000 sq feet for development to transform the 70.5-acre site at the old Indianapolis airport terminal into its innovative training center.”

“The first phase of the project will include a 250-person residential facility and a state-of-the-art space for digital training and it is expected to complete by the end of 2020,” company added.
While talking with the media, Infosys COO, UB Pravin, said “We are excited to break ground on our U.S. Education Center, a physical embodiment of our long-term commitment to reskilling American workers.”
“Continuous learning and reskilling are core components of Infosys’ DNA and we look forward to the important role this facility will play in our efforts to train our 10,000 new American hires as well as our existing employees and those of our clients,” he added.
“As a state, we are thrilled to be home to Infosys’ U.S. Education Center and to be the hub for technology skills training for workers across the country,” added Governor Eric J. Holcomb.
In March this year, Infosys opened its first US technology and Innovation Hub in Indianapolis and with a plan to hire 2,000 to 3,000 employees from Indiana by the end of 2023.
