The Zinka Logistics powered startup BlackBuck has raised a whopping $27 million in a recent funding round from a new investor. As per the sources at the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, the global VC firm Sequoia Capital has backed this funding with an infusion of $14.68 million.
BlackBuck already has a host of investors onboard including Accel Partners and Sands Capital.
Although this news is already making headlines, it could not be ascertained if this funding is a part of the larger round backed by US-based investment firm Tiger Global.
The tech-enabled logistic firm had raised Series C funding one and a half year ago. And with this round, the company is valued at roughly $190 million.
Going forward, it would be interesting to see how BlackBuck disrupts the logistics space further by optimizing technology. The firm has already impressed the investors and now is the time for diversification and expansion.
