Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (TCS) (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS) has entered into a strategic partnership with Now Corporation’s telecommunications subsidiary to develop a sovereign data cloud for the Philippines. The companies said the project will support the country’s digital transformation goals, strengthen national cybersecurity, and expand access to digital services.
The sovereign cloud will be designed to store and process data within the country’s borders, addressing regulatory and security requirements. TCS will provide cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity frameworks, and digital solutions, while Now Corporation will contribute its local telecommunications network and regulatory expertise.
The companies in a press release said, the initiative will help the Philippines government and private sector accelerate the adoption of digital services in areas such as e-governance, education, healthcare, and financial inclusion. The project is also expected to create jobs in technology and network operations.
TCS has expanded its cloud and digital services portfolio in Southeast Asia in recent years, working with governments and enterprises to build localized infrastructure. Now Corporation said the partnership marks a step toward its goal of positioning the Philippines as a regional hub for secure and sovereign data services.
