Zomato partners with Traffic training institute-Cyberabad to train more than 600 delivery partners

In an attempt to increase the road safety awareness within the delivery partners, One of India’s largest food delivery company Zomato on Friday announced that “it has partnered with Traffic training institute of Cyberabad.”

The company, in its statement, said that “Zomato has closely worked with the traffic training officials to extensively train more than 600 delivery partners, with traffic rules and regulations, and how to take accident preventive measures.”

Speaking on the partnership, Mohit Kumar, COO for Zomato said “We have been working towards educating our delivery partners as a part of our Zomato Rider University, which centered around skilled labor welfare and road safety programs and the partnership with Cyberabad Traffic Police was an opportunity for us to work along the custodians of the city and contribute towards the development of the city.”

“We are thankful to the Traffic officials of Cyberabad Traffic Training Institute who took out time to educate our delivery partners and helped us create such opportunities for them and We hope to continue and steadily train all our delivery partners in the city,” he added.

While talking more on the partnership, IPS Vijay Kumar, DCP, Cyberabad Traffic, said “Road safety is one of the key focus areas for us. It is great to see a company like Zomato come forward for the cause, as full-fledged road safety can be achieved only through such collaborative efforts.”

“We are delighted to extend our support to Zomato for their endeavors in improving awareness of its delivery fleet about the importance of safety and encourage them to adopt best practices to drive safely on the road,” Vijay added.
