India-based edtech platform WizKlub has raised Rs 6 crore in pre-Series A round from its existing investor Incubate Fund India.
“The startup plans to infuse the fresh funds to accelerate its growth and run rate,” the statement said.
Speaking on the investment in WizKlub, Nao Murakami, Incubate Fund India, said, “The need for developing skills beyond the basic school curriculum and interest in parents to partake in such programs has increased manifold during the recent years. We believe in WizKlub’s vision to provide excellent quality and easy access to cognitive and technology learning programs for students and that they have the potential to scale rapidly.”
Commenting on the fundraise, Amit Bansal, Founder & CEO, WizKlub, said, “The current classroom practices are designed around “knowledge dissemination” and not around building skills necessary for success in the coming decade. The most important future-ready skills are Higher Order Thinking Skills such as logical, creative and analytical thinking as well as the ability of an individual to use technology to solve real-world problems.”
“WizKlub programs designed to build these future-ready skills, bring out the best in every child. At WizKlub, we evoke possibility, ease of learning, wonder, and curiosity, so kids gain new insights and a new lens of perception and possibility. We are thankful to our investors for supporting our efforts to empower young minds to succeed in this rapidly changing world,” he said.
